Jubilee Community Woodland
Jubilee wood is 1 hectare in size and is situated at the south edge of Peebles. The woodland was previously managed by the Community Council, under an agreement with the land owners Haystoun Estate. Friends of Jubilee wood are now responsible for the management of the woodland with practical support from Borders Forest Trust and financial support through grant applications and contributions made by the woodlands 71 members.
The woodland has an interesting ground flora, with a small selection of species which indicate the woodland has ancient origins.
There are specimen trees within the canopy comprising of Oaks, Douglas fir, Ash and Elm. Tawny owl and pipistrelle bat can also be observed in the wood.
Access
