Crown Community Woodland

Clearing within the wood with Heather and Bilberry

Crown wood is a 13.1 hectare conifer plantation one mile outside of Bonchester Bridge near Hawick. The wood is a mixture of conifers and birch. There are several clearings within the wood with typical heathland species such as Heather and Bilberry. The wood is privately owned but community involvement is welcomed by the owners through working with Borders Forest Trust.

Access

There are five rides which are used as a path network. These are level and reasonably easy to access.
